Glitter? Check. Fishnets? Yep. Bustiers and bloomer shorts? Sure, why not. When it comes to rocking fashion, there isn't much fearless fashionista Katy Perry won't try. Love 'em or hate 'em, when it comes to the rocker's kooky get-ups, there's one thing we can all agree on (unless you're maybe Lady GaGa): This "California Gurl" is anything but boring.
Red Carpet Style: Not one to shy away from curve-hugging couture, Perry loves playing up her best assets with thigh-baring slits, cleavage-enhancing bodices and super-short hemlines.
Street Style: Surprise! The singer does tone it down from time to time -- well, sorta. Pink denim, funky blazers and bright prints rule her everyday wardrobe. Another streetwear staple: thick-rimmed, bright-framed sunglasses -- and we're not talking your run-of-the-mill Ray-bans here.
Hair and Makeup: From '50s-inspired, pin-up-worthy waves to sweet-'n'-girlie headbands, Perry's signature jet-black locks always look polished. Except, of course, when she's donning one of her many neon-hued wigs. Just as dramatic? Her makeup (think falsies, bright-pink pout and the occasionally questionable choice of eye shadow).
Notable Fashion Moment: There's a lot of territory to mine here, but it was her arrival at the 2010 Costume Institute Gala in NYC that Ms. Perry made her most fashionably outrageous entrance yet. Sporting a design from UK duo Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz of CuteCircuit, Perry's one-shouldered floor-length gown boasted 24,000 colorful LED rope lights. I guess when you're Katy Perry, the future does, indeed, look bright.

Katy Perry and Russel Brand Divorced Details
On Friday, Russell Brand filed for divorce from his pop-star wife, Katy Perry, after only a year of marriage. With the new year on the horizon, more details about what led to their split are emerging.
Sources told Us Weekly that the couple always fought, but in the time leading up to the divorce filing, the arguments had gotten more heated, leading to one "massive fight."
"She was like, 'F--- you. I'm going to do my own thing.' Russell replied, 'Fine, f--- you too,' " the source explained.
Meanwhile, other sources close to the couple told E! News that the twosome had spent "a lot of time apart" as of late and that they have been having a number of "problems." TMZ further reports that those separate vacations were planned so that neither party would be in L.A. when the papers were filed.
The couple had been having problems for some time, and after trying to make it work, TMZ sources add that "it just wasn't there" anymore. Brand eventually filed for divorce first due to Perry's strong religious beliefs and background. Other reports suggest that Brand and Perry may have had differing views about how they wanted to live their lives. The Daily Mail reports that recovering drug addict Brand didn't approve of Perry's friends (like fellow pop star Rihanna). He had reportedly asked her to "tone it down."
The split may be surprising for some given that in the past few weeks, the former couple had gushed about one another in various interviews. When Brand stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," he steadfastly denied that he and Perry had plans to divorce. "There are always rumors, aren't there? In the end, you have to just not engage with Internet technology, which is difficult, because a lot of the nude-women websites I quite enjoy," he joked.
"I've treated the whole Internet now like it's a wicked little liar," he added. "Yeah. I am really happily married. I'm married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge."
In fact, when MTV News spoke to Perry at rehearsals for her "Saturday Night Live" hosting gig earlier this month, she noted that she was getting lots of advice from her soon-to-be ex-husband. "My husband, of course, every day I call him and I'm like, 'This happened,' and he's like, 'I know what that means, and here's the next play-by-play for tomorrow,' so he's gotten me really prepared for this week, thankfully."
Whatever happens next for these two in 2012, the comedian noted in a statement that he hoped to remain friends with Perry. "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I will always adore her and I know we'll remain friends." Perry has remained mum since the news broke. The couple kicked off their love affair at the 2009 VMAs when Brand was hosting and Perry was on hand as one of the night's performers. They later got engaged in India during a New Year's vacation months later. The pair married in a lavish affair in India in 2010. News of their split comes days after they sparked split rumors when they were seen separately over the Christmas holiday sans wedding rings.

It's official! Russell Brand and Katy Perry tied the knot Saturday night in India.
Brand, 35, and Perry, 25, "were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23," reps for the couple confirmed. "The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples' closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India."
The couple exchanged vows at a luxury resort. Earlier in the day, two elephants named Laxmi and Mala were seen arriving at the resort. As the animals walked into the venue, a red carpet was rolled out for them. "Mala is a bit skittish and hates crowds but she managed to behave herself," a source told PEOPLE.
In a traditional Indian wedding procession, known as the "bharat," the bridegroom and his male relatives and friends walk to the spot where the bride awaits. The bridegroom is often on a white horse, but an elephant is considered an even grander, more magnificent mode of transportation – the maharajas, or Indian royals, traditionally arrived at weddings on elephants.
