Katy Perry Fashion Style

Glitter? Check. Fishnets? Yep. Bustiers and bloomer shorts? Sure, why not. When it comes to rocking fashion, there isn't much fearless fashionista Katy Perry won't try. Love 'em or hate 'em, when it comes to the rocker's kooky get-ups, there's one thing we can all agree on (unless you're maybe Lady GaGa): This "California Gurl" is anything but boring.
Red Carpet Style: Not one to shy away from curve-hugging couture, Perry loves playing up her best assets with thigh-baring slits, cleavage-enhancing bodices and super-short hemlines. 
Street Style: Surprise! The singer does tone it down from time to time -- well, sorta. Pink denim, funky blazers and bright prints rule her everyday wardrobe. Another streetwear staple: thick-rimmed, bright-framed sunglasses -- and we're not talking your run-of-the-mill Ray-bans here. 
Hair and Makeup: From '50s-inspired, pin-up-worthy waves to sweet-'n'-girlie headbands, Perry's signature jet-black locks always look polished. Except, of course, when she's donning one of her many neon-hued wigs. Just as dramatic? Her makeup (think falsies, bright-pink pout and the occasionally questionable choice of eye shadow). 

Notable Fashion Moment: There's a lot of territory to mine here, but it was her arrival at the 2010 Costume Institute Gala in NYC that Ms. Perry made her most fashionably outrageous entrance yet. Sporting a design from UK duo Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz of CuteCircuit, Perry's one-shouldered floor-length gown boasted 24,000 colorful LED rope lights. I guess when you're Katy Perry, the future does, indeed, look bright.
